As many of you know I LOOOVE make up especially lip products, lip gloss, lip stick, lip balms and lip treatments (love a lip plumping treatment). I have to say my all time fave lip finish out of them all is matte, I love a matte finish lip at the minute. I have a ridiculous amount of matte finish liquid lip sticks and I'm always on the look out for new brands to try.

So I'm on my monthly Primak haul, when I come across the makeup and beauty section which I must say I'm getting more and more impressed by every time I venture in to Primark, they have certainly stepped up their make up game!! I know Primark have always done the odd bit of make up but seriously if you haven't been in recently you must go and have a look. I always used to look at it and was never impressed it was always bright colours and the packaging etc never looked that great. I also always told myself it's cheap so it wont last and it wouldn't be good quality UNTIL NOW.

I came across these amazing products this month on my monthly Primark haul, as I said above they've been stepping up their makeup game for the last few months and I've been buying the odd bit. When I saw these little gems I knew I to get them to try them to let you guys know about them and if you have seen and been a bit dubious about buying cheaper make up from Primark you now don't need to be. Primark have launched these AMAZING lip kits they actually have 4 out in total at the minute, 2 matte lip kits and 2 metallic lip kits. I bought the 2 matte lip kits to trial and I love them so I will certainly be buying the 2 metallic lip kits.

I've tried a lot of matte liquid lipsticks over the last few months as they are my new fave thing. This kit is amazing so let me tell you a bit more about these kits. These amazing kits contain a lip liner pencil and a liquid lipstick. This is amazing as I know how hard it is when you find a lipstick you like to find and exact matching lip pencil. SMASHED IT this collection has a matching pencil to the liquid lipstick.

My routine for my lips I always prime my lips first, like you'd prime you skin before your foundation and you'd prime your eyes before your eye shadow. I prime my lips first and actually I've been recently using Primark's lip primer and I've been loving it, it leaves my lips hydrated and prepped ready for whatever I am applying next which in this case is this fab lip kit.

 I always prime first, I then use the lip pencil to line my lips this enhances my lip shape and also stops any lipstick or gloss bleeding in to any cracks and leaves the edges finished. The lip pencils are fab you don't need to press hard for the colour to come out they also don't snap like some of the wind up lip pencils. The only negative about the lip pencil in this kit is it doesn't wind up to give you more pencil and you can't sharpen it to give you more pencil, so I guess when the tip runs out it's gone you'd have to buy another but it really is nothing to grumble about considering the cost.

After lining I then applied the matte liquid lipstick,  the applicator is a sponge applicator so it's easy to apply the lipstick just like many other matte liquid lipsticks. I apply evenly all over my lips leaving it to turn from a gloss to a matte finish in just a couple of seconds it really is amazing. A lot of people always ask me will it dry my lips out etc, I never find matte finishes dry mine out but I always prime my lips before so it leaves them hydrated. The matte finish lasts forever this was the biggest test for me I put it on before I left the house at 8am, now at work i'm constantly on the go and talking most the day and it lasted forever. The only time I had to reapply was after i'd eaten my lunch and I only had to reapply the corners. Sometimes I have found that re applying over a matte liquid lipstick it can go bitty and crusty but not this one I just reapplied let it dry a few seconds and was good to go again it still looked amazing when i got home after 6pm. It really is long lasting and the finish is amazing it really is becoming one of my fave liquid lipsticks and I have tried lots! Below are pictures of the two colours on my lips the top one is a more nudey brown and is called cookie dough, the picture below is more of a dark brown colour and is called chocolate brownie. 💜💜💜

I have loved trying these matte collections and I can't wait to go and buy the other 2 metallic collections. The most amazing thing about these collections is that they are only £3  which is amazing as you get a liquid lipstick and a lip liner. I don't know anywhere you can get a collection as good as this and for such good value it's crazy!!!! I can't wait to keep trying more of  Primarks make up section, get yourself down there and give it a try yourself for £3 you can't go wrong at all.

 Mothers Day a day that sneaks up on us all. A day that you should have already planned the perfect gift, however if you haven't here are a few gift ideas for our lovely mums out there. My top 10 picks are mainly beauty and skin care products with the odd lifestyle and fashion piece. I have chosen a variety of different priced products so that it will cater to everyone's budgets.

I always light my candle in my bedroom when reading before bed or when I'm having a bath to wind down and relax. I am a massive fan of all H A Designs items, but I have chosen the purse as I think every now and again everyone could do with a new purse especially a personalised one. 3. Bare Minerals Gen Nude Matte Lipgloss
Absolutely loving that bare minerals have released Matte liquid lip glosses, not only that but in the most beautiful shades of nude ever. These lip colours  look like a lip gloss, go on like a gloss but dry with a matte finish. Which I think makes them last much longer, it also leaves a non sticky residue which for myself and for many people is the best! you no longer get your hair stuck on your lips anymore when it's windy. These lip colours have moisturising ingredients in them which means they leave your lips hydrated and moisturised unlike many matte finish glosses out there. There are 10 shades to chose from in the Matte Gen nude collection to match a variety of skin tones, the lip colours are gluten free and are not tested on animals!! As I've just said sometimes mum's forget to treat themselves or cant justify spending the money on themselves when there are busy spending on their children. New Skin With NU Skin

Breakouts, Blackheads and Dry Skin

Are the words I hear on a daily basis from my clients, friends, family and even from myself. So what are we all going to do about this ? FIX IT, FIND SOMETHING THAT REALLY WORKS!!

  

Many of you that know me or may have seen my pictures will be reading this thinking Lizzie has nothing wrong with her skin! What a blessing makeup is, it covers a variety of concerns for many of us. Now don't get me wrong I wouldn't consider myself to have "bad skin" but everyone has their own concerns with their skin whether it be something small or large. This is why I have done this post on the products I have been using over the last few weeks. I have  seen amazing results from them so if I have why can't you. Fab skin for everyone 💜

So as I've previously said in my "about me" page this year is about me and spending more time on myself. So I've decided to practise what I preach most days "you need to look after your skin" so that's what I've decided to do. My concerns with my skin are congestion, blackheads, breakouts, dry skin and redness. I'm sure many of you have these concerns so keep reading to find out what I've used, where to get it from and to see my amazing before and after photos.

I'd seen and heard a lot about NU Skin and especially these two products in particular. After doing some research on the brand and the products I decided to invest and give them ago, I've not looked back since.  The two products I have been using are the GLACIAL MARINE MASK and the SKIN POLISHING PEEL. Let me explain a little bit about the products and then you'll see my amazing results. I've been using these products twice a week for three weeks now. I use the polishing peel first by applying a generous amount sometimes warming it up with a drop or two of water leaving that to dry for a few minutes. You will feel the peel tighten on your face I would then rub the peel off my face you can feel and see the dead skin cells fall off your face. I would then wash any residue off, following it with the mud mask, which I would leave on for a good 15/20 minutes. That's what I have been doing twice a week for 3 weeks now.

Glacial Marine Mask

This mask is a dream come true, it removes dirt, oils and impurities as it dries on the skin meaning the minute you wash it off you are left with visibly clearer skin. The mask is a clay mask that contains small fine mud pieces and sea botanicals. The mask removes dead skin cells leaving the skin feeling refreshed and renewed. You can see the mask drawing out the congestion from your skin as the areas of dirt and congestion go a darker shade of green as you can see from the picture. You can use the mask on the face and body as it is also great for boils, bites, dry skin and eczema. This mask is often referred to as the acne mask, so many people not just myself have seen amazing results.

 Polishing Peel

This peel is amazing it is clinically proven to be the equivalent to having professional microdermabrasion but from the comfort of you own home meaning it makes it a lot more affordable . However it is nice to have the luxury of a proper microdermabrasion in a salon but the treatment is not always affordable for everyone. The peel has pumpkin enzymes in it this ingredient resurfaces, softens and leaves the skin feeling tight and polished. It also has bentonite clay in it which removes dull skin cells and toxins from the face. This peel is quick and easy to use, you get a lot better results from this than an ordinary exfoliator you might use. Your skin instantly feels tighter and smoother after just one use. This peel will work wonders on anyone that suffers with the above concerns that I wrote about for the mask. Which is why using both the products together you get the best results 😍 The picture shows the dead skin cells and dirt that can come of the face from just one application.

So now I've explained the two fab products I've been using what they are good for and why you should use them. If the above information isn't enough here are a few of my own photos, before treatment, during treatment 2weeks in and 3 weeks in. The difference it has made to my skin is amazing so imagine what it could do to yours!!!

 The first photo is my skin before using any of the products, looking slightly red,congested and breakouts visible. The second photo is 2 weeks in redness has gone down and so have the breakouts, leaving the odd breakout presents and slight redness. The bottom photo is 3 weeks in here you can see no redness, no congestion or any breakouts present. This is from using the peel and the mask twice a week for 3 weeks. AMAAAZING😆😆😆

I've had amazing results from these two products so there is no reason you can't too, just remember no matter how little or how large your concerns are with your skin there's something out there to help you. You just need to stick at these two products for a few weeks to see the amazing results. I always feel better about myself when my skins clear because my makeup sits on better 💜
